The Lahore High Court (LHC) chief justice on Monday sought a report within three days from the Lahore district and sessions judge (D&SJ) on an incident in which acid was thrown on a teenage girl at Cavalry Ground.
The LHC Complaint Cell had taken notice of a media report that a 16-year-old girl suffered burns in an acid attack in Cavalry Ground. The D&SJ submitted his report that a case was registered against two unknown individuals on the complaint of the victim’s father, Khalid Nazir Butt.
However, the complainant, his witness and the victim were unable to nominate or identify any culprit so far. The investigation officer was directed to collect all evidence, locate the accused, conclude the investigation fairly and honestly and then submit a challan before the relevant court at the earliest.
