IDB announces 750m euros loan for Pakistan

The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has agreed to extend a loan facility of 750 million euros to Pakistan.
The decision has been made during a meeting between IDB President Ahmed Muhammad Ali and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in Jeddah.
Ali said that IDB is keen to work with Pakistan for the eradication of polio.
He praised the reforms and liberalisation measures taken by Nawaz Sharif’s government for the revival and stabilisation of economy.
He also agreed to extend the 150 million dollars trade facility for the import of fertilizer and petroleum products.
Dar praised the IDB’s support to Pakistan and its role in helping Islamic countries and in promoting the Islamic mode of banking.
