Punjab govt and Chinese firm ink five MoU’s

A signing ceremony of five Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) between the Punjab government and the renowned Chinese IRM Harbour Engineering Company for cooperation in the energy and infrastructure sectors was held on Saturday.

Engineering Company Vice President Tang Qiaoliang, Provincial Ministers Sher Ali Khan and Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, energy and finance secretary’s, planning & development chairman and other officials concerned were present.
Under the agreements the Chinese company would complete the projects of Ravi Lake City, LNG, Ring Road construction and new transmission lines from Gwadar to Punjab and generating 1200 MW electricity through coal.
