Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Thursday said he would not apologise over his ‘Teeli Pehlawan’ remarks against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak.
Talking to reporters at the Punjab Assembly, Sanaullah said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had not put any restriction on him regarding his statements.
He said Nawaz was a national leader and he wanted resolution of all problems through dialogue.
Sana said there was no such threat of attacks on jails in Punjab, but the Punjab government had put in place foolproof arrangements in this regard. He said a helicopter had also been sought from the federal government to improve security of jails.
Sana said the statement of the KP prisons minister was shocking and the PTI chief Imran Khan should take notice of the statement. He said the sacrifices of the security forces could not be overlooked.
The provincial minister said raise in the power tariff was inevitable, as if the government did not raise power tariff, the circular debt would have again reached a level of Rs 500 billion.
