Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has asked party members to refrain from publicly criticising other members without proof, warning that otherwise they would be expelled from the party.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Khan expressed strong reservations over PTI members publicly accusing other members of indulging in all manner of irregularities.

He pointed out that the PTI had formed a committee, reporting directly to the chairman, to entertain all such complaints with proof to substantiate the allegations.

“So far, there has been absolutely nothing provided in terms of proof and many senior leaders are being harassed and pilloried for no reason whatsoever,” the PTI chairman said, asserting categorically that “any PTI member found publicly criticising and accusing another member, including any office bearers, in any form – be it on TV, print media or social media, email and SMS chains, will be expelled from the party immediately”.

He said all those with substantive complaints should take them to the cell formed for the purpose.
