Two Chinese nationals robbed

Two Chinese nationals were robbed by unidentified armed men in Islampura, depriving them of their mobile phones and thousands of rupees in cash.

As per details, Tai Ang Sun and Aang Ching Yu came to Lahore to conduct interviews of candidates for employment in their company.

The accused fled from the scene after incident and moreover, Islampura Police officials refused to register an application on the request of foreigners. The Chinese nationals said that they were robbed near the MAO College.

3 KILLED IN POLICE ENCOUNTER: Three robbers were killed while another managed to escape in the exchange of fire with the police in the early hours of Sunday.

Four robbers on two motorcycles looted a couple near Southern Cantonment’s Gohawa village and then fled from the scene.

The victim, Faiz phoned Recue 15 who immediately cordoned off the area.

During the operation the security personnel intercepted the fleeing robbers on the Ring Road. The robbers started firing at the police but three of them were killed in retaliatory firing while one used the darkness of the night to flee from the scene.

16 POS, ABSCONDER ARRESTED: Investigations and CIA Police claimed to have arrested 16 proclaimed offenders (PO’s) and absconders involved in a number of terrorist activities and a ransom-abduction incident.

DIG Investigation Zulfiqar Hameed constituted different teams to arrest the criminals.

The police teams conducted raids at various places including Tibi City, Joher Town, Hanjerwal, Ichhra, Nishar Colony, Gulshan Ravi and Shalimar and arrested the PO’s which included one lady.

The outlaws were identified as Ghani ur Rehman, Kamran, Farooq, Najma Bibi, Pervez, Zeshan, Zafar, Ramazan and Naeem.

Police also submitted 29 challans of different cases in courts registered in various police stations of the city from 2006 to May 2013.

ONE-WHEELER MEETS HIS DEATH: A youngster was killed while three others including a child were injured in an accident caused by one-wheeling on Sunday.

According to the police, a group of 10 youngsters were indulging in one-wheeling in Lahore’s Township area when one of them crashed into a motorcycle carrying two people.

Four people including the one-wheeler, a couple and their five-year-old son resultantly sustained wounds.

The injured were shifted to a hospital where Adeel Nisar, 28, succumbed to his wounds as his head had hit a footpath.

The condition of the other individuals was stable.

One-wheeling is common during Ramazan after Sehr and Iftar as most of the roads are empty. The youngsters taking advantage of the situation resort to one-wheeling and often become victims of such incidents.
