Amanda Bynes’ parents, Rick and Lynn, have revealed that prior to moving to New York, their daughter was extremely paranoid about being ‘watched,’ even at their residence.
In court papers released on Friday, they wrote that the former ‘Disney’ star would cover smoke alarms with towels, tape windows shut, and cover her car’s dashboard with cardboard and tape out of fear that cameras were watching her from inside these places, People magazine reported.
It seems that the parents are concerned about the behaviour of the 27-year-old, who is now under a 14-day psychiatric hold at a hospital just outside L.A.
In the documents filed with the Ventura County, Calif., Superior Court, the Bynes family outlined their daughter’s disturbing behaviour beyond her multiple driving offenses, saying that they believe their daughter is now essentially “homeless” and has a substance abuse problem.
