Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Nadeem Hassan Asif on Sunday announced a project which would supply water from Tarbela Dam to the federal capital.
The project is at its initial stages.
He also visited Sector I-10 and urged the residents to cooperate with the civic authority in beautification of the city. The chairman addressed several complaints of the residents. Talking about the encroachment drive by CDA he assured them of cooperation and consensus between the authority and the traders in any future encroachment operation. He directed his staff to rectify sewerage problems of the area while prioritising complaints made by women.
He also expressed his dissatisfaction regarding hygiene, security and the sanitation conditions of the fruit and vegetable markets of the city. He instructed his staff to formulate a plan at the earliest to deal with such problems in order to bring relief to the citizens.
