Six people contracted the lethal Congo virus in Karachi this year, five of whom lost their lives, it was reported on Monday.
Medical sources stated that all of those infected were Karachiites. The latest victim Zareena, was under treatment when she expired, doctors told reporters.
Experts said the viral disease was spread by tick bite and that explained why most of the victims were either farmers or individuals working in the livestock business.
