  1. The views of ex-pat Pakistanis are more in line with how it's been portrayed. By the end of the day she was shot in the head and barely survived. She is lucky to be alive; it was a penetrating injury which has left her with a seemingly perhaps semi permanent disability. People in Pakistan see her father who continues to smile in appropriately and milk international agencies which they detest. Some one in UK said to me if you want to rise to fame get your daughter shot in the head, which I thought was a callous remark. I have a daughter Malala's age.
