Police on Saturday impounded 23 vehicles and 175 motorcycles in different police stations while tinted black papers were removed from 50 vehicles.
According to the details, Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Yaseen Farooq directed officers, SDPOs and SHOs of relevant zones to keep enhance security and patrolling to clear the city of mischievous elements.
Police stations also conducted a general holdup and impounded 23 vehicles and 175 motorbikes being driven without proper registered documents. Meanwhile 53 suspects were arrested during search operations conducted in various areas of the city.
Inspector General Police (IGP) Bani Amin Khan and SSP have commended performance of police officers and directed them to remain vigilant to curb criminal activities.
