No case has been registered so far against former president Pervez Musharraf regarding the Lal Masjid operation.
The son of slain cleric Abdul Rasheed Ghazi approached the Aabpara police station to register the case on Saturday; however the SHO said they had not received the written order of the court.
On Friday, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) had ordered the police to register a case against Musharraf after hearing a petition filed by Haroon Rasheed against the murder of his father and grandmother during the Lal Masjid operation in 2007.
Separately, the former army chief on Saturday filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging life time ban on him from contesting elections.
On May 1, a larger bench of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) disqualified him for life time to contest polls while dismissing his appeal against the rejection of his nomination papers for NA-32 (Chitral) constituency.
