Govt committed to dealing with tax evaders: Dar

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar once again expressed the commitment, of the PML-N led government, to deal with tax evaders strictly to collect maximum revenue.
In an interview‚ with a private TV channel Ishaq Dar said the new energy policy envisages low cost fuel based projects so that affordable and cheaper energy could be provided to the consumers.
The minister said the policy would be announced by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
To a question‚ the minister said the government was committed to dealing with tax evaders strictly in order to collect maximum revenue.
The Finance Minister said agriculture sector contributes 23 percent of total GDP‚ but overall tax revenues collection from this sector is only one billion rupees which is very low.
