LAHORE – Kabeer Saleem alias Vicky, 7, a prep-class student and and a resident of Kot Khawaja Saeed, was killed by unidentified men after sexually assualting him in Gujjarpura Police precincts on Thursday. Police said that around 9am on Thursday, Gujjarpura Police received a call at rescue 15 number by a laborer, who informed them about the body of a minor boy buried under sand inside an under-construction boys high school building located in the same area. Local police reached the scene and brought out the body from sand and shifted it to the police station and contacted Saleem, father of Kabeer, who identified the body.
Police removed the body to the morgue for autopsy and registered a murder case against unidentified men. Gujjarpura Police Deputy Superintendent Aftab Phularwan said that the deceased was sodomized by unidentified killers and later killed. He said that the boy was strangled and his nose was filled with sand. He said that the boy’s head was also smashed from right side. He said that a blow was witnessed on right side of minor’s head. Later Saleem said, “He was wearing same clothes in which he left the house
and I identified him when I saw a glimpse of his body from quite a distance.”
Kabeer was youngest in his family and had one sister and one elder brother. His family protested outside Punjab Education Minsiter Mujtaba Shuja-u- Rehman’s house , demanding the culprits be arrrested immediately.
I HOPE that this crime will not become one of the unsolved files, simply because the victim is from a lower class family. Rape and Murder are terrible enough without adding child to the mix
