Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has constituted an enquiry committee for a probe in sexual harassment on the complaint of a PIA female medical officer, local media reported Tuesday.

Sources said that the female medical officer had lodged a complaint through a petition to the PIA M.D alleging that the five PIA officers and employees had subjected her to sexual harassments in a hotel.

PIA spokesman Mashhood Ahmad told that the M.D. taking action on the petition immediately formed an enquiry committee comprising of two officers—General Manager (works), Col (retired) Akhtar and Deputy General Manager Amina already left of Lahore. He said if the allegation proved correct, then an FIR would be filed against the offenders besides departmental action would also be taken.

On the other hand, Punjab Health Minister, Khalil Tahir Sindhu taking notice of the sexual harassment of PIA medical officer said that he himself would conduct an enquiry into the incident.
