Monday morning brought a light shower to the heat-stricken provincial capital, providing relief to the citizens from the hot and humid weather.
According to the MET Office, the current rain spell would continue till Wednesday. The weather in the city would remain cloudy as light rain is expected to continue.
Further, the MET office also predicted more rain in upper Punjab (Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha and Lahore divisions), Kohat, Peshawar, Kashmir, Hazara and parts of Kalat.
A western disturbance would also be affecting the northern parts of the country. Further, a seasonal low lies over North Balochistan and adjoining areas, and Monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are reaching the upper and eastern parts of Pakistan.
