A woman was allegedly beaten to death by her husband on Tuesday for giving birth to a baby girl in Lahore.
The relatives of the deceased, Kiran, placed her dead body on Shalimar Link Road to protest the police’s failure to act against the accused.
According to her relatives, Kiran was brutally assaulted by her in-laws after she gave birth to a baby girl. Her family said that the police were trying to pass the incident off as an accident to save the suspect.
The protesters dispersed peacefully once informed by the police that justice would be done.
