British High Commissioner Adam Thomson on Tuesday said MQM chief “Altaf Hussain’s issue” was not discussed during British Prime Minister David Cameron’s visit to Pakistan.

Talking to reporters Thompson said, “We have received the MQM’s memorandum and we are evaluating it.”

“The Metropolitan Police is an independent institution and they are investigating the matter,” he said, adding that he could not say anything about the investigations.

Thomson termed Cameron’s visit successful and said he discussed in length all bilateral and regional issues with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif including Afghanistan. He said the recent visit of the British prime minister would go a long way in expanding Pakistan-UK relations.

Thomson said his country would provide technology to control improvised explosive devices and the British home secretary would visit Islamabad soon to extend cooperation to Pakistan in this regard.

To a question‚ he said both countries would have to work together for the success of Afghan reconciliation process.

He said eth issue of drone attacks also came under discussion during the meeting and Cameron encouraged the Pakistan leadership to solve the issue through dialogue with the US.

  1. the british police are a professional lot, unlike the amateur pakistani police.UK is not pakistan, where there is no law and order and "things" are done in a different way and the value of life is"zero" as we have seen it on day in , day out basis in karachi! The UK police would be acting on information and intelligence and in the fullness of time all will be revealed.sorry money cannot buy justice in UK!

    • Oh really they are like that. They are securing this same recognized terrorist for last 20 years. His all bank accounts and doubling his money transfers from karachi is in front of same police.I here give an edge to Pakistani police. If he would have caught by our police in 1980s he would confess all his crimes within 24 hrs. This is beauty of our speedy remand and no match with so called Scotland yard under which this monster was being grown in safe and sound environment

    • I wish you are right in this regard and they are to nab the biggest criminal Pakistan has ever seen

  2. Sorry money, terror, or victimhood taunting cannot buy justice in UK! That is why Altaf Hussain is so afraid of the coming events.

I urge the journalists and other people to Stop using "Bhai" with Altaf Hussain's name as it is subtle and subliminal part of the Stockholm Syndrome and Psychological Terror Tactic by which MQM Mafia controls the system.

  3. In UK there should be no two views about the investigations against MQM and its leaders Dr Imran Khan was murdered and there is no one better person than Altaf Hussain to ask and if he is included in investigation to find more why is he upset and refraining to assist Metropolitan Police He is a British National and got right similar to other who are British and Courts are not to be bribed here, they do deliver fair justice. Altaf Hussain should not worry at all but must help as much as possible in finding the murderer.

  4. If his house was searched and if the money was found to the amount of 8 million or whatever it was, the papers for the properties found in his locker along with gold and diamonds, I hope the British system of justice brings this up and not makes him dance to their tune and use him for their own desires. I hope the police in UK are professional lot, and they will bring the justice out for the people to see that the man who has done so much harm and tries to be the most innocent of the lot is hand cuffed and brought to the court.

  5. we have to first understand the meaning of "Bringing some one to justice" every country has its own way of justice. Every one needs a quick justice which is only possible when there is no fear and when you know that your words will not hurt your close relations and your self. I say if 20 percent of pakistani population say that he is a criminal then there no need to help him and let him face the justice. In my view he should be hanged.

  6. its not that easy you people are thinkging off………..He is the leader of karachi, and peoples loves him……..

  7. he should be hanged.and if he safe this time than there will be more worse circumstances for the peoples of karachi,we are hoping but still not sure that british minds will use this issue for their own benefit or there will be justice for humanity.

  8. The "Game" should be ended started by MQM in Karachi and its top gun is still in London after the massacre of thousands of people from the beginning and this blood bath is still unstoppable. Now or Never.
If there is any justice anywhere then should take this matter very seriously without any issue/threat. Its not like if there can't be any any justice against Altaf in Pakistan cannot be in London as well. So the fear in Karachi could be stopped now and the people should now take a breath of relief.
