LAHORE – Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa said on Wednesday that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) would neither destabilise the provincial government nor strive to topple it. While visiting the ailing Arshad Ghurki, brother of Khaild Ghurki, at National Hospital in Defence, the governor said that he would not deviate from the constitutional limits. Arshad Ghurki had a heart attack at the funeral of Khalid Ghurki and was under treatment.
Khosa said that PPP was following reconciliatory politics in persuasion of Benazir Bhutto’s vision. He said that PPP wanted to run a democratic system as it was in the national interest. He added that under the leadership of President Zardari, PPP was united and will continue to serve the masses. He pledged to work for the resolution of public tribulations in the province without recalling the acrimony of the past. He said PPP wants to get the country out of prevailing political and economic crises.
