A summer swimming camp for journalists’ children concluded on Wednesday in an impressive and colourful ceremony here at the Pakistan Sports Complex pool.
Over 200 kids participated in the nine day camp, which was organised by the National Press Club (NPC) with the collaboration of the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB). The PSB Director General, Syed Amir Hamza Gillani, was the chief guest at the concluding ceremony. NPC Islamabad President Farooq Faisal Khan, Secretary Shahryar Khan, Finance Secretary Afzal Javed, the NPC Organising Committee Chairman and a number of journalists and their families also attended. Speaking on the occasion, Gillani hailed the NPC for arranging the camp and providing a healthy activity for kids. He said that the PSB would provide all possible assistance to the NPC to organise other such activities for journalists’ children in the future.
