The Senate Standing Committee on Inter Provincial Coordination on Monday advised the government to resume National Cadet Cops (NCC) training at college level so that trained human resource could be provided to law enforcement agencies.
The direction was issued by the Senate Committee in a meeting chaired by Senator Farah Aqil. The committee said that it is need of the hour that youth come forward to face the challenges of growing terrorism which has been damaging the peace and economic stability of the country. The committee said that the government also asked women colleges to encourage girls for NCC training for effective maintenance of peace in the country. Committee chairperson Senator Farah Aqil said internal and external situation of the country demands that every citizen, especially youth, should play their vital role for peace and prosperity of the country. The committee was informed that 25 million of the population was out of schools and 0.2 million teachers are getting salary without attending school.
