The appointment of senior analyst and former caretaker chief minister of Punjab Najam Sethi as the interim chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) remained the focus of criticism in the National Assembly (NA) on Monday.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Aijaz Jakhrani said that the person who had no link with cricket had been appointed as PCB chairman.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi also expressed his reservations over the government’s decision.
On Sunday Najam Sethi was appointed as the interim chairman of the PCB. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif approved the appointment.
Sethi Sahib, I always thought you were a man of principles. At least, among many rotten eggs in the community of our journalists. You did not do a good job as caretaker CM, only facilitated PML-N. It will be better you return to your profession on a full time basis where you have the potential to be at your best. It is a problem in our country that people try to do a job for which they are not trained. For instance, when generals think they can run the government better. So, please come back. I want to hear your analyses on many issues.

Think it is just a payoff by Nawaz for help during the elections. What could Sethi possibly know about cricket besides $$$$ to be made as head of PCB????
