Pakistan’s Ambassador Masood Khalid visited Xining, Qinghai province to attend the 2013 Qinghai International Carpet Exhibition where Pakistan is displaying its handmade carpets. The exhibition which started on June 20 was jointly inaugurated by Masood Khalid and Hao Peng, governor Qinghai province and Vice Minister Chinese Ministry of Commerce. Ambassador Massod Khalid on the occasion said that the overwhelming presence of Pakistani carpet exhibitors at the exhibition reflected the tremendous potential Pakistani carpet manufacturing and exports possessed. He said Qinghai exhibition was a unique opportunity to promote the Pakistani product. In the exhibition 32 companies are participating with 35 stalls and more than 60 exhibitors participating through Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers & Exporters Association. While talking to the governor, the Ambassador appreciated the steps taken by the provincial government for development of the region.
