CM urges collective efforts for peace in Balochistan

Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch on Tuesday stressed the need for collective efforts for maintaining peace and tranquility in Balochistan.

He said the issues of Balochistan must be resolved in consultation with all stakeholders, adding that law enforcement agencies had beefed up security there to maintain law and order in Ziarat after the tragic incident.

He underlined the need for talks with elements, who could help maintain peace in Balochistan.

Baloch said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was serious in resolving the Balochistan issue. “A detailed report regarding Balochistan is being sent to the prime minister to address the matter,” he said.

To a question, the chief minister said all political parties wanted peace in the province, adding that a comprehensive strategy was needed to resolve the problems of the masses.

Baloch said the province was confronted with multiple challenges like terrorism. “There is an immediate need to improve the situation with the help of all stakeholders,” he added.
