As many as three policemen were killed in an ambush in Qilla Saifullah District on Sunday.
Police sources said that unidentified terrorists riding motorcycles attacked a police check post near Muslim Bagh area. The bodies were identified as that of Abdul Wali, Ali Shah and Bahauddin.
Law enforcers cordoned off the area to arrest the suspects. Further investigation is underway.
Separately, three people were kidnapped by unidentified armed men in Dasht area.
According to Levies sources, the kidnapped people have been identified as Mehrullah Magsi, his driver and guard.
Reports say Magsi, a relative of former Balochistan governor Zulfikar Magsi, was going from Jhal Magsi to Quetta to receive the body of his daughter who was killed in Saturday’s blast in Quetta.
Levies and other law enforcers have cordoned off the area and started search operation. Magsi’s vehicle was found in Dasht area.
Meanwhile, a man was killed and another sustained injuries in an armed clash between two groups in Sohbatpur area of Jaffarabad District.
According to police, two groups used automatic weapons against each other. The body of Muhammad Ali and the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.
