Police patrol: 46 vehicles, 226 motorcycles impounded

The Islamabad Police on Sunday in a general hold-up shifted 46 vehicles and 226 motorcycles to different police stations found with suspected criminals.

After verification, vehicles were returned to owners. 60 tinted glasses from vehicle were also removed.

According to details, Islamabad Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Yaseen Farooq directed all zonal officers, SDPOs and SHOs to increase vigilance and patrolling in the city, after which the security at check posts was tightened.

Further, 24 suspects were arrested for their alleged involvement in weapons trading and drug pushing.

The general hold-up’s aim was to curb crime and maintain law and order in the city.

The Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) Bani Amin Khan and Islamabad SSP appreciated the police officers’ performance. The IGP also directed that security be enhanced further.
