KARACHI – The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has notified the re-designation of its top officials previously working in the Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) in various capacities. According to an SBCA announcement on Tuesday, former controller of the KBCA, Manzoor Qadir has been re-designated as the SBCA director general of buildings. Similarly, officers of Grade 17, 18 and 19 will perform duties as directors, deputy directors, and assistant directors in various departments including Design, Structure, Town Planning and Regularisation, Vigilance and Recovery etc.
The same formula will be applied on non-technical departments including Administration, Public Relations, Legal, Finance, Computer and Medical to perform as directors and deputy directors. In Karachi, controllers and deputy controllers would carry out administrative work in their respective towns after being re-designated as directors and deputy directors.
It may be mentioned that provincial government had established SBCA (previously KBCA) on February 14, 2011 under a notification number SO(L&C)HTP/5-291/2009.
The SBCA will have offices in other cities of the province as well which include Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur and Larkana divisions.
SBCA still result is Zero in Sindh , they did not stop the encroachment and illegal construction
