Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Ishaq Dar has assured independent power producers of payment of Rs 250 billion before the end of this month, a private TV channel reported.
A delegation of independent power producers (IPPS) led by Abdullah Yousuf called on the minister on Friday.
The channel’s sources said that the IPPs assured the minister of adding 1,500 megawatts of electricity to the system before the start of Ramadan.
