Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique on Thursday said that he has burnt all his boats to pull Pakistan Railways out of crisis.
Speaking to Railways administrators and employees at Pakistan Railways Headquarters, Rafique said the government would take every possible step to put some life into railways which he believes was a great asset of the country. He stressed the need of team work and joint efforts by employees to revive golden days of Pakistan Railways.
Rafique vowed not to take away salaries, privileges and fringe benefits from railways empoyees. He said all decisions would be made on merit and strict action would be taken against those who were involved in corruption. He said all out efforts would be made to make Pakistan Railways a profit-earning organisation. All possible measure would be taken to improve the performance of Pakistan Railways and provide maximum facilities to the passengers.
