The federal government has proposed Rs 9.863 billion for the health sector in the budget for the fiscal year fiscal year 2013-14 against Rs 7.893 billion allocated for the sector in the last budget.
Under the head of Health Affairs and Services, a total allocation of Rs 9.863 billion has been earmarked in the budget estimate 2013-14, which is higher by approximately 25 percent than the last budget of fiscal year 2012-13.
According to budgetary documents, Rs 260 million has been proposed for medical products, appliances and equipment, Rs 8,110 million for hospital services, Rs 1,029 million for public health services and Rs 394 million has been allocated for the health administration.
