The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Wednesday decided to install 10 new water filtration plants and 10 new tube-wells in Islamabad in the financial year 2013-2014.
According to CDA officials, the decision has been made to lessen the water shortage.
The project would cost Rs 50 million, they added.
The officials said that filtration plants would be installed in Sectors G-10, G-7, I-9, G-11 and F-11 and the project would cost Rs 20 million. They said that earlier there were 37 filtration plants in the federal capital.
They also informed that special funds had been allocated for repairing dysfunctional filtration plants.
The officials further said that there were 187 tube-wells in Islamabad, which would now increase to 197, as 10 new tube-wells would be installed during the new fiscal year.
They hoped that the authority would succeed in controlling the water crisis in the coming year.
Great news. Water wells are definitely underrated everywhere and can save a lot of money in the long run.
A third world countries always have problems about water, I hope that building these plants can help people there to get clean and healty water
