The Ministry of Railways has issued a notification to withdraw all perks and privileges and take back vehicles from officials not entitled to use them.
The notification had been issued on the directives of Minister for Railways Saad Rafique after assuming charge, an official told APP on Tuesday.
He said the initiative showed the minister’s seriousness to take further steps to cut Railways losses and put it on track for profitiblity in future.
He said the minister also directed that all officers of the ministry to reach office at 8am, adding that everyone should work hard to make Railways a profitable public sector entity.
