A driver was killed on Tuesday while an assistant professor at Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) Dr Shakir narrowly escaped an attempt on his life when unidentified miscreants opened fire at his car near Dabgari area of Peshawar while he was heading home.
According to police sources, the driver lost his life in the firing incident and brother of the professor sustained injuries while the doctor remained unhurt.
Police further said that the two attackers were wearing police uniform. One of the attackers also got killed in retaliation, the police added.
