Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is scheduled to visit Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia next week.
Reports say the government was in consistent contact with Maulana Samiul Haq, chief of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-S (JUI-S) and add that the main purpose of the contact is to convince the Taliban to sit on the negotiation table.
In this connection, ambassadors of both the states, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia, left for their respective countries to get directives in this regards.
