The Margalla Police on Wednesday arrested four men involved in preparing fake currency and deceiving people by portraying themselves as government officials, a police spokesman said.
According to details, the police arrested Asif Riaz Alvi, who revealed information about his accomplices during the preliminary investigation regarding the fake US dollars. Consequently, the police team raided flat no.5, Second Floor, AwanPlaza, Sector G-8, recovering the tools used for printing the fake notes. Three other persons were arrested during this raid and fake letter pads of government departments and uniforms were also seized.
The arrested have been identified as Amir Raza Mir, Sohail Ahmed and Zahid, who confessed their crimes.
Islamabad Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Yaseen Farooq appreciated the Margalla Police’s performance and directed the Saddar Superintendent (SP) to conduct a special anti-crime campaign. He also announced cash prizes and commendation certificates to the policemen who busted the fake currency culprits.
POLICE can over take the crimes if it would, but the police station culture is not good, So i think they investigate those cases properly which marks to the high ranked. Our POLICE can root out the bad practices if it perform its duties honestly.
