Medics in Karachi’s Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) went on strike for an indefinite period, leaving hundreds of patients untreated and in suffering.
The doctors were demanding JPMC’s affiliation with Sindh University and a change of administration in the hospital.
The emergency ward in the hospital remained open on Tuesday whereas the medical staff was unavailable at OPDs, canceling their scheduled operations and other duties during the strike.
