Shoes and other material worth thousands of rupees were reduced to ashes when a fire broke out in a warehouse near Allah Hoo Darbar, Shahdara on Saturday.
On receiving information, Rescue fire service reached the spot and put out the fire after hectic efforts. However, no loss of life was reported. The cause behind the fire was stated to be electric short circuit.
In another such incident at a house in Shafiqabad nine-year old boy Asif received burns and was rushed to a hospital. Furniture and other items were also burnt. Vehicles of fire brigade reached the spot and extinguished the blaze.
