The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday issued contempt of court notice to the Punjab Health secretary for not complying with the court order regarding regularisation of 20 pharmacists. LHC Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial heard the case about regularisation of services of the employees. The petitioner’s lawyer was of the view that Health secretary did not regularise 20 pharmacists despite court order in this regard. He also prayed to the court that legal action should be taken against the Health secretary for violation of rules and regulation. The CJ said that the court would not like to put anybody behind the bars; so it was better to follow the court orders in their true spirit. The Health secretary has been ordered to ensure his presence in LHC on June 17.
