Punjab’s new cabinet meets today

LAHORE – Punjab’s new cabinet’s first meeting will convene today. The cabinet, consisting of nine ministers and four advisers, will take up important issues including amendments in the Punjab local government ordinance (2001), revenue laws and the fresh business rules in light of the 18th amendment. The law department, local government and community development (LG&CD), board of revenue, health department and the information, culture and youth affairs department will apprise the cabinet on the aforementioned agendas. Government sector experts said today’s meeting was very important as it would decide local government institutions’ fate and Punjab government’s entire working after the 18th amendment.
