Three blasts in Bannu, peace committee member killed

A peace committee member was killed in a bomb blast in Bannu on Friday.

According to police, the bomb was detonated through a remote controlled Improvised Explosive Device (IED), outside the house of member peace committee located in Masho Gagar area, Badhber police station jurisdiction, killing Nadeem Khan on the spot and damaging the house partially.

Two hand grenade blasts took place outside the house of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) leader Jaffer Shah, in Mamshkhel area of Bannu. The blasts damaged the gate and boundary wall of the house but no human loss was reported as the residents were inside the house at the time of explosions.

In Miriyan area of Bannu explosive material planted in a government girls primary school destroyed two rooms of the building. No causality or injury was reported as the school was vacant at the time of blast.
