Petrol price to increase by Rs. 2.18

The government on Friday decided to increase per litre petrol price by Rs.2.18 whilst slightly decreasing rates of other POL products.

The new rates would be effective from Friday midnight (June 1).

The Ministry of Petroleum approved changes in the prices following a summary sent by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) which is yet to issue a notification in this regard.

The price of petrol has been raised by Rs.2.18, that of light diesel by seven paisas per litre, and HOBC by Rs0.84 per litre.

The rates of high speed diesel were slashed by Rs.1.46/litre and kerosene oil by 38 paisas.

  1. please write not just the change but also the current price after the change. This news is not useful to me without knowing the current price

      • in all probability Sumit is referring to the photograph in the article… the photograph showing a fuel pump attendant putting in fuel … he has Indian currency in his hand…. probably the reporter just picked the first photograph he could find on the subject.
        P.S. — Going by the colour scheme of the uniform of the attendant …. Red and Blue… the photograph was taken at a "Hindustan Petroleum" (One of the Oil companies in india) Outlet.

  2. Instead of having unlimited natural rsources across the country, we are deprived of all basic needs and its major reason is that, we have no sound politcial ground and politician, who may work to make prosper to the nation and develop to the country
