One security official was killed and another wounded in an ambush on a Levies check post in Khuzdar, while three dead bodies were found at a desolate area in Kechh district on Tuesday.
Levies officials said unidentified armed men attacked a Levies check post in Khuzdar killing one official identified as Qadir Jan and wounding another, Muhammad Ashraf.
They said the attackers swiftly fled from the scene after opening intense fire at the check post, adding that the incident took place late Monday night.
A heavy contingent of law enforcement agencies rushed to the site after the incident and started a search operation in the area to track down the attackers. The dead and injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.
