Margalla Festival to celebrate culture and diversity

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Sports and Culture Directorate on Tuesday announced the schedule for the Margalla Festival 2013.

The festival would start from May 31 and would continue till June 9 at the Arts and CraftVillage.

The Margalla Festival 2013 would be inaugurated on May 31 at 8 pm at the Arts and Crafts Village. Artists from the whole country would entertain the spectators with musical and cultural performances. Additionally, the CDA has established a food court area, horse dancing shows and various stalls.

Punjab Day would be celebrated on June 1, accompanied by presentations on Punjab’s folk and urban culture, while June 2 would be dedicated to Sindh’s culture, June 4 to Balochistan. There would be an exclusive show on Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan culture on June 6, whereas June 7 would be commemorated as Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Day.

The Margalla Festival’s concluding ceremony would be held on June 9, 2013.
