ISLAMABAD – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has dispatched non-bailable arrest warrants for former president Pervez Musharraf, also a retired Chief of the Army Staff, to the Pakistan High Commission in London, a private TV channel reported on Sunday.
Musharraf could be declared a proclaimed offender if his arrest was not possible, the channel said, and confiscation of his properties is also likely. The FIA had requested for more time to arrest the former president at the hearing of the Benazir Bhutto assassination case held in Adiala jail.
Following the order of the court, the warrant for his arrest was sent to the commission.
