Rangers carry out biggest-ever ‘targeted’ operation in metropolis

Paramilitary Rangers on Sunday carried out a large-scale operation in the Manghopir neighborhood of the metropolis and arrested over 800 suspects in an operation that has been termed as the biggest ever in the city’s history.

Rangers spokesman said over a 1,000 law-enforcers, including women personnel, were taking part in the “targeted” operation which was being conducted in Kunwari Colony of Manghopir, on the outskirts of the city.

Officials said over 800 suspected criminal were rounded up by the rangers’ during house-to-house search operation conducted in the locality popularly regarded as a hub of criminals.
