Fire erupted at several places in the city owing to short-circuiting on Saturday. According to reports, a shop situated at Mcload Road Fountain Chowk, three houses at Gulberg II, Samsani Khokker and Gaziabad Pakora Chowk respectively caught fire.
In another report an auction house situated in the area of Multan Chungi also caught fire that affected nearby buildings.
The rescue teams reached at the spots and controlled the fire which burnt valuables worth thousands however claimed no life.
SPEED THRILLS BUT KILLS: An unidentified man died of an accident while one-wheeling on the Ring Road in Badami Bagh precincts on Saturday.
The man’s motorbike, bearing an inscription, “Let’s play the game of death,” crashed into a tractor trolley while one-wheeling. The man died on the spot. The police later shifted the body to the morgue.
