At least three persons were killed on Friday when unknown militants attacked a container loaded with NATO goods at Shagai in Khyber Agency.
The container carrying NATO goods was on its way from Afghanistan to Karachi via Khyber Agency and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
According to details, a container loaded with NATO goods, vehicles and other logistical items when was ambushed by armed militants. As a result of indiscriminate firing, two occupants of the vehicle lost their lives on the spot whereas third person sustained injuries. The injured person later succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital.
The assailants managed to escape from the scene. It is the second attack against NATO containers in the last five days. Taliban militants have already threatened deadly attacks against the NATO good being shifted from Afghanistan to US via Pakistan.
So far, no one has claimed responsibility for latest attack on the NATO container. However, officials in Khyber Agency believe involvement of Taliban militants in the attack. Taliban militants having dens and sanctuaries from Jamrud till the border town of Landi Kotal.
