The Police on Friday arrested 9 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered 1.10 kilogram hashish, 53 bottles of wine and weapons from them, said a police spokesman.
According to details, Sub-Inspector Yar Muhammad from Tarnol Police Station arrested a drug pusher Ali Meer and recovered 1.10 kilogram hashish from him while Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Ali Asghar apprehended Ali Ahmed and recovered one 30-bore pistol and eight bullets from him.
Further, ASI Muhammad Azam from Sabzi Mandi Police Station nabbed Naik Awaz Khan and Umer Zaman besides recovering two pistols from them andASI Shakeel Ahmed from Aabpara Police Station arrested two bootleggers Khawar Abbas and Waqas with 53 wine bottles.
Moreover, the Margalla police arrested Ali Akram, Nadia and Chanda for their alleged involvement in illicit activities.
Cases have been registered against those arrested and further investigation is underway.
