The All Pakistan Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) Distributors Association expressed optimism the next elected government would make solid measures for promotion of LPG to extend relief to consumers. “We have high hopes and are waiting for the new elected government to swear in, and take effective steps for provision of relief to common people by promoting LPG and opening filling stations, across the country,” the association’s chairman, Irfan Khokhar said on Thursday. Replying to a question, he said the price of the LPG would be far less than CNG and consumers will be able to refill their vehicles at the LPG auto-fuel stations, across the country. He said, the LPG association would fully cooperate with the next elected government by providing workable proposals in order to resolve issues for promotion of LPG to extend relief to consumers who were already faced with high prices of other necessary commodities. He said the PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif had the capability to drive the country out of the economic problems and overcome the energy problem, besides resolving all outstanding issues of the business community. Moreover, he says the new LPG policy would address various issues that could not be covered in the previous policies and encouraging growth of LPG industry for sustainable and enhanced availability of LPG products.
