At least eight persons were killed and four others sustained injuries in separate firing incidents in various areas of the city on Thursday.
According to police and rescue sources, unidentified armed men opened fire at a man at Fawara Chowk in Garden area, within the limits of Garden Police Station, killing him instantly.
The deceased was identified as Hassan, 33. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital.
